KOSHER SALT

Composition:

Kosher salt si pure or almost pure sodium chloride. Unlike regular table salt, there is no iodine added.

Origin:

Kosher salt is produced all over the world, the name comes from a jewish religious practise of kashering meat it was originally used for.

How to use in the kitchen:

It is generally better for cooking because it doesn't contain any iodine. Aside from that, the size of kosher salt crystals is ideal for drawing out moisture from meat.
