FLEUR DE SEL

Composition:

Fleur de Sel is totally unrefined sea salt, containing mostly Sodium chloride together with a little moisture from the sea making it taste like sea and also be little sticky. It also contains calcium, magnesium and iron.

Origin:

Fleur de Sel is produced specifically in Guérande, France in very small amounts per day due to it's difficult harvesting process, making Fleur de Sel one of the rarest and therefore most expensive salts on Earth.

How to use in the kitchen:

This salt is too expensive to be used as a regular table or kosher salt. Think of it rather as a garnish than a salt, sprinkling a little Fleur de Sel on the top of your Creme Brulée or any fancy food.
